8 Days Sweet Memories

Day 1 - Airport / Medan – Bukit Lawang 

Pick up from Medan hotel/airport. Drive four hours to Bukit Lawang by AC car. Once arrived at the hotel ,rest of the day is free for leisure,you can swim or take a beautiful walk to the local village nearby.

 

Day 2  - 2 Days Trekking Orangutan Sumatra – Day 1

After breakfast at 9:00 am our guides from Trekking Orangutan Sumatra will greet you at the hotel where you are staying. After that Our guide will set off into the jungle for roughly a 6 to 7 hour trek. During the trip, if we are lucky, we will see many Orangutans, Thomas leaf monkey, Gibbons, or long-tailed Macaque. During the day we will break for lunch and eat tropical fruits, following by a short walk to our campsite location. There you can do activities like bathing in the river and behold the beauty of the natural landscape which will surround you. Our team will provide some complementary tea, coffee and snacks. At the end of the day our team will prepare a delicious dinner which can vary but may include rice, vegetables, chicken, chili sauce, tempeh and more. After dinner we can choose to play a fun interactive group game before going to bed for a well needed rest.

 

Day 3 - Trekking Orangutan Sumatra – Day 2

After breakfast provided  by team Trekking Orangutan Sumatra we will be walking into the jungle. During the journey we will learn about the plants of the forests that can be used as herbal medicine. If we are lucky we may see some interesting animals such as; the Endangered Orangutan, White-hundred gibbon, snakes, monkeys, monitor lizards, and many other exotic wildlife unique to the jungle. The jungle trek is typically a 4-5 hour walk.  During the day our team will prepare a lunch that includes locally sourced fresh fruit. After Lunch we will begin our trek to return to Bukit Lawang. Here we have two options; to return on foot, or, with a traditional tube raft which we can ride down the river for an additional fee. You may choose either to walk back to bukit lawang or travel back with tube rafting down the river.

 

Day 4 - Tangkahan Elephants Trekking

Departing from Bukit Lawang towards Tangkahan and Relax while
enjoying the crystal clear waters of the river, and there are hidden airpanas for some people, and occasionally seen large wild fish in the river water and there is also a waterfall. then Elephants Trekking & Washing, Back to Bukit Lawang. 

 

Day 5 - Bukit Lawang – Berastagi

This day we will go to Berastagi, a trip which will take 5-6 hours. Stop in to see the Lumbhini and Fruit Market and we will stay overnight in Berastagi.

 

Day 6 - Berastagi - Sibayak - Lake Toba/Samosir

In the morning 4am we will climb Sibayak mountain to see the sunrise, we headed for Lake Toba by passing Sipiso-piso and stop in to see the waterfall Sipiso-piso. and then we will arrive at Lake Toba in the afternoon and we will cross the lake to get to samosir and we will stay overnight in Samosir.

 

Day 7 - Samosir Island

after breakfast start tour around Samosir Island. Visit the Ambarita village, then Simanindo to see Batak museum and Batak traditional dance performance at 10:30am. After the performance visit another village to see sarong/ulos or Batak blanket maker. You can stop for lunch  before back to the accommodation in the afternoon.

 

Day 8 - Medan/Airport

Transfer back to airport (KNO).
